Relief Society Newsletter
Dear Sisters,
We hope you can feel, even through these simple words, how deeply loved, needed, and valued you are.
Today, I want to remind you of something profound: Motherhood is not just about bearing children. It is the very essence of who we are as women. It is part of our divine identity — a sacred trust given to us by our Heavenly Father long before we ever set foot on this earth.
Motherhood means loving, nurturing, protecting, leading. It means staying close to those who need our guidance, even when the way feels uncertain or overwhelming. It means being willing to “bear with” others — to lift, to teach, to strengthen, and to walk alongside. It is the most ennobling, powerful work women can do.
The world often overlooks or even belittles the holy role of mothers — but heaven never does. God Himself, when speaking of Eve, gave her the title "mother of all living" even before she bore children. Motherhood is not about biology alone; it is a divine calling to love and lead.
Some of us mother through the children born into our homes. Others mother through the people God places along our path — neighbors, friends, Primary children, youth, Relief Society sisters. If we love and lift others, we are fulfilling our divine role.
Please don’t underestimate your daily acts of goodness. Every comforting word, every bit of wisdom you share, every time you choose compassion over judgment — you are mothering. Follow the Spirit and seek those opportunities to bless someone near you.
We love you and believe in you. Heavenly Father has full confidence in your ability to love His children.
With love,
The BH 8th Ward Relief Society Presidency

BH 8th Ward Relief Society Goals 2025
Guiding Principles:
It is our desire for each sister to become more deeply converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ through the influence of the Holy Ghost. We have been reminded by our loving prophet Pres. Russell M. Nelson, that “In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.”
Vision:
● Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ
● Caring for those in need
● Increasing the effort to gather Israel on both sides of the veil.
Goals:
● Prayerfully create and plan opportunities for each sister to foster greater faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
○ Special emphasis on the Lord Jesus Christ in all Sunday lessons.
○ 2 Relief Society dinners (Spring/Fall) both focusing on becoming deeply
converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ
● Plan Regular Humanitarian Efforts
○ 12 monthly scheduled humanitarian efforts.
○ Every RS activity (4) will include an opportunity to serve or donate to a cause.
● Sisters will be given opportunities to participate in proclaiming the gospel and redeeming the dead through activities established in the Ward Missionary Plan and the Ward Temple & Family History Plan.
○ Ward dinners, Potluck in the Park, Ward Temple; Family History Day, Church
programs, dinners and outings with the missionaries, etc.
○ Special emphasis on preparing sisters to become endowed, return to the temple,
or become more active in their temple participation.
